These terms are an agreement between you and the developer of Paginel. By downloading or using Paginel, you agree to them. For how the app handles your data, see the Privacy Policy.
Acceptance and Apple's EULA
Paginel is distributed through the Apple App Store. In addition to these terms, Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement applies to your download. Where these terms don't say otherwise, Apple's EULA governs.
License
You receive a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to install and use Paginel on Apple devices you own or control, as permitted by App Store rules. You may not copy, resell, redistribute, or reverse-engineer the app except where the law expressly allows it.
Free features and Paginel Pro
Core reading, annotation, and page-management features are free. Some features — such as PDF to Pages/Numbers conversion and OCR on Mac — are unlocked with a one-time in-app purchase. All purchases are processed by Apple; billing, receipts, and refunds are handled through your Apple account under Apple's terms.
Your documents
Your PDFs and everything you create in them remain yours. Paginel processes them on your device and claims no rights over your content. You are responsible for ensuring you have the right to open, edit, sign, or convert the documents you use with Paginel.
Signatures
Paginel's signature and stamp tools place an image of your signature into a PDF. This is a convenience feature, not a certified e-signature service; whether such a signature is legally valid for a given document depends on the laws and requirements that apply to you.
Acceptable use
Don't use Paginel to break the law or violate the rights of others — including circumventing copy protection on documents you aren't authorized to modify — and don't interfere with or misuse the app or its distribution channels.
Updates and changes
Paginel and these terms may change over time, for example as features are added. If the terms change materially, the date above will be updated and the new version posted here. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Disclaimer of warranties
Paginel is provided “as is”. Conversion and OCR are best-effort by nature: results can be imperfect, and layout or text may differ from the original. Always keep your original files. To the maximum extent permitted by law, no express or implied warranties are given.
Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the developer of Paginel is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including loss of data or documents — arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law.
Termination
This license ends automatically if you breach these terms. You can end it at any time by deleting the app. Sections that by their nature should survive — such as ownership of your content, disclaimers, and liability limits — survive termination.
