Privacy Policy

Paginel is built to keep your documents on your device. This page explains, plainly, what Paginel does and doesn't do with your data.
Summary
Paginel doesn't require an account, doesn't sync to a cloud service, and doesn't run analytics or advertising SDKs. The PDFs you open, the annotations you make, and the signatures you save stay on your device.
The PDF files you open
Paginel only accesses files you explicitly choose via the system file picker or Files app, using Apple's App Sandbox security-scoped file access. Paginel never scans your filesystem on its own and never uploads your documents anywhere.
Signatures
If you draw and save a signature, it's stored as an image inside Paginel's own sandboxed app data folder on your device. It's used only to stamp your PDFs when you choose to apply it, and is never transmitted off-device.
On-device OCR
When converting a scanned PDF, Paginel recognizes text using Apple's Vision framework, which runs entirely on your device. No image or text data is sent to Apple, to Paginel's developer, or to any other party.
Converting to Pages and Numbers
On Mac, Paginel automates Pages or Numbers via Apple Events (AppleScript) to produce a native iWork file. This automation happens locally between apps on your Mac — no data leaves your device during conversion.
Permissions Paginel requests
Apple Events access, to control Pages and Numbers for conversion (Mac only), and read/write access to files you explicitly choose. Paginel does not request access to your camera, microphone, contacts, location, or any other personal data.
Analytics and third parties
Paginel does not currently use any third-party analytics, crash reporting, or advertising service. If that ever changes, this policy will be updated first, and any such service would be limited to what's necessary to keep the app running well.
Children's privacy
Paginel isn't directed at children and doesn't knowingly collect personal data from anyone, regardless of age.
This website
paginel.app is a static marketing site. It doesn't set tracking cookies, doesn't run analytics scripts, and doesn't ask you to create an account. Our hosting provider may keep standard, short-lived server logs (such as IP addresses) to operate the service securely.
Your rights and choices
Because Paginel doesn't collect your personal data on any server, there is nothing for us to export or delete on your behalf: your documents, annotations, and signatures live on your device and are removed when you delete them or uninstall the app. If you have questions about your data, contact us any time.
Changes to this policy
If this policy changes, we'll update the date above and post the new version here.
